After recently having a tiff with the Forumer Support Staff on their forum, I decided it would be a good idea if should the need arise, there would be a forum set aside for complains to be discussed about openly and freely.
I was accused of 'rudeness' and 'insulting staff members' but with the rules on that forum, there is no place for openly discussing anything. 90% of the problem on that forum, is that there is no way you can talk about moderators openly - you will get a Warning for that (I'd received 2 warnings).
I asked for proof that I was rude within one of my warned posts - the moderator who warned me said he had warned me for a post that I didn't even make - lot alone reply in! That warning was removed by the Site Admin today.
Last night I received another warning for talking about a moderators actions publically (which I had no knowledge of that was wrong) so I received another warning for that which was called 'insulting staff members'. All I did was commend 1 moderator and didn't name the moderator which I called "bad"... now thats what I call a real bad insult
After you receive 2 warnings on that forum like I did, you can't use your PM service so contact with the moderator was impossible - hence the creation of this forum. Also with that forum, there is no way you can know what moderator warned you for what.
So there you have it. |

What is this forum Becs - a place where all forum owners can hang out to get support for techie things, etc?
Sounds like hard work to make progress with them if you have to be that precious about everything? |

Yes, the forum is for owners to 'hang out' and support each other. Its like walking on eggshells in there, but I don't care. If they can't get their heads out of the sand to see whats reeeeeally going on then thats their problem. I guess us light-hearted folks are too much for them
There are a lot of people on there who have complaints aout the moderators, but the mods are too quick to delete anything related to them, so nothing can be done about it. They have th run about of that forum and there is nothing we can do about it.
I just want people on here to know that if there is a problem with one of my 'staff' (myself or Bron) or other members then there is a place for that - here. |

Good call Beks. I have been the victim of the moderater delete button and telling off button before myself, simply because I havent' agreed with the majority. I still think it is the site owner/runner that should do this, so you have made the right move. |

I hope so Toni. I have seen how you've been bullied and picked on by moderators on another site. I won't stand for that on here.
I'm all for freedom of speech, and fairness too.
Should anyone have an issue I hope they won't feel uncomfortable bring it up with me so I can help them sort the problem out in the best way possible.
I just hope this section should never have to be used though. We're all down to earth people on here. |

Here ya go Toni
I so heartily agree.
The minute the place gets filled with mods, and worse still, mods with no mandate from the owner, all reason goes out the window and consistency just doesnt apply. People like yourself who state their personally held beliefs or views get hammered, while slagging off of all sorts of people while hiding behind ambiguity goes untouched. Crazy and highly confusing for sure.
Becs you get two bunches for doing things the way you are so far

Gosh on some of the cat forums you should see the fur fly & the claws come out. The moderators are very good & only step in if things really get out of control and if the said person doesnt behave then all their future postings have to go through the moderator. There is never any deleting of peoples posts. That's what forums are for and, hell, what a boring world it would be if we all agreed on every little thing. Right : |
